The project
All companies in Portland Towers have access to the MyDesk platform, which is used for booking meeting rooms and ordering meeting catering from Gastro Kantiner.
To make daily operations even smoother, the solution also includes an efficient lunch registration setup at the canteen entrance, allowing employees to quickly check in using a screen before accessing the buffet.
The goal was to create a unified platform that supports canteen staff, the various companies in the building and the many employees who use the shared facilities every day.
The challenge
Gastro Kantiner needed a system capable of managing and invoicing meeting catering across multiple companies, while also automating lunch registration to reduce queues and eliminate manual errors.
The previous workflow required significant manual handling, which was difficult to scale with many different tenants in the building.
Why MyDesk
MyDesk was chosen because the platform brings meeting room booking, catering, access card integration and analytics together in one intuitive system. This provided both employees and kitchen staff with a streamlined and user-friendly setup.
MyDesk could also manage multiple companies under one central structure, which was essential for Gastro Kantiner’s operation in Portland Towers.
What was delivered
Meeting catering: Order directly via MyDesk with an overview to Gastro Kantiner.
Lunch registration: Employees scan their badge on the MyDesk screen and payment is automatically registered.
Canteen platform: Gastro Kantiner has access to overviews of the day’s orders and the possibility of invoicing per company.
Analytics: Provides insights into spending patterns and optimization opportunities.
