MyDesk secures your data with daily backup, minimum 30-day retention and documented recovery procedures based on Microsoft Azure.
Daily backup with 30-day retention
MyDesk performs daily automatic backup of all customer data. Backups are stored for a minimum of 30 days, allowing for point-in-time restore at any time within the retention period.
Backup data is stored in Azure Blob Storage with geo-redundant replication (GRS), ensuring backup is available even in the event of a complete data center outage.
Point-in-Time Restore
Through Azure SQL Database and Azure Blob Storage, we can restore data to any point in time within the backup retention period. This provides protection against accidental deletion, corruption and ransomware attacks.
Disaster Recovery
MyDesk has documented disaster recovery procedures that cover:
- Recovery Time Objective (RTO) - Recovery time objective
- Recovery Point Objective (RPO) - Maximum acceptable data loss
- Break-glass procedure for emergency access
- Major incident communication plan
- Regular testing of recovery procedures
Break glass procedure
MyDesk has a documented break-glass procedure that ensures access to critical systems in emergency situations. The procedure is approved by management and tested regularly.
Backup test
Backup procedures are regularly tested to verify that data can be restored correctly. Test results are documented and reviewed by the security team.
