In this guide, I’ll show you how you can easily update products, categories and availability for meeting catering in MyDesk.
Step 1: Log in to MyDesk #
The first step is to access MyDesk web, which is accessible via https://ditfirmanavn.mydesk.dk. In order to manage meeting catering or the canteen menu, you need to be an administrator. When you are logged in as an administrator, you will see an item called Administration in the bottom left corner.

Step 2: Navigate to lunch and catering #
When you click on Administration, you will be taken to a new page. Here you will find an item called Lunch and Catering. Click on this item and you will find a sub-item called Admin, click on this item.
Step 3: Create or edit categories #
When you click on Categories, you will see that the categories are divided per location. Let’s select a new category for the location Taastrup. Here you need to enter a category name. For example, you can type Beverages.
Next, you need to enter how far in advance “drinks” should be ordered. We choose one day before and it must be ordered before 12 noon. This is a typical setting that most people have.
Step 4: Specify availability and time frames #
Next, you need to specify the start and end time for when drinks should be available. In this case, because it’s beverages, we say they should be available from 07:00 to 19:00. If I had made a category for breakfast, I might have chosen 7am to 11am as the period when it should be available.
You can also write a category note, but it’s not required. The same goes for permissions and sorting; you don’t need to change these. Once you have entered all the information, press Save to create the category.
Step 5: Add products to the category #
The next step is to add some products to your category. Click Products, select the same location and click Add product. Here you need to enter the product name and price. Let’s say the product costs 10 kr.
You don’t need to fill in the other information because I want it to be inherited from the category. If it’s only available for a certain period, I need to specify that. But since this product is always available, I’ll just choose that it starts today and ends in the year 2030.
Step 6: Specify product availability #
You can select availability if something is only available on certain days. By default, it’s every day, which is usually the case. Once you have entered all the information, press Save and you have created the product. This product can now be ordered through the MyDesk app, both in Planner, Outlook and wherever else you use MyDesk.
Step 7: Review and update the menu regularly #
It’s important to keep your menu updated. Regularly review the products and categories you have created and make sure they are still relevant and accessible. If there are changes in the offering or in the needs of your users, adjust the categories and products accordingly.
Keeping your menu fresh and customized will ensure your users have the best experience when ordering catering through MyDesk.
