In this guide, we will dive into the specific functions and meanings of the buttons in MyDesk Planner. We will look at how each button works.

Step 1: Close Window #

The first button we’re going to look at is “Close Window”. This button is pretty self-explanatory, but let’s elaborate a bit. When you click this button, you close the window without saving any changes.

It is important to understand when to use this button. For example, if you are updating the meeting catering, you can choose to close the window, as the meeting catering is automatically saved when you leave this window.

Step 2: Update Meeting #

The next button is “Update Meeting”. This button is essential when you want to change information about a meeting. For example, if you change the time or location of a meeting, use this button.

When you click “Update Meeting”, the necessary information is updated and you can continue working without fear of the changes not being saved.

Important: If you have added or changed meeting catering, do not press “Update meeting” as the meeting catering is already saved. In this case, just press close window.

Step 3: Cancel Meeting #

The third button, “Cancel meeting”, allows you to cancel a meeting. However, this feature requires that you have the right rights to do so. Canceling a meeting may be necessary if there has been a change in plans.

It is important to note that only users with the necessary rights can cancel meetings. If you do not have these rights, you will not be able to use this feature. Make sure to communicate with the relevant people if you need to cancel a meeting.

Step 4: Send Request #

The last button, “Send Request”, is for users who do not have the rights to update meetings. If you need to change something, like the time or meeting room, you can instead choose to send a request to the meeting organizer.
