Setting up an e-ink router

This guide describes how to correctly set up the MyDesk E-ink controller using the components shown:

1. A white wire

2. A blue wire

3. A black box with two network connectors (PoE controller)

4. E-ink router

Step-by-step setup #

1. Connect power to the PoE device
   Connect the included power supply to the black PoE device. This ensures that the box is powered to power both itself and devices connected via the PoE port.

2. Connect the PoE device to the network
   Use a standard network cable to connect the network port labeled “LAN” on the PoE device to your internet router or network switch.

3. Connect the e-ink router to the POE device
   Now connect the blue wire from the PoE port on the box to the E-ink router. This connection provides both power (via PoE) and network data to the router.

4. Check the connection
   Once all connections are established:

   • The PoE device is powered.

   • The Internet connection is active via the LAN port.

   • The E-ink router receives network and power via PoE.

Once the installation is complete, the E-ink screens will be able to gain network access and work properly with MyDesk guest registration.
