Start with a concrete question
Do you want to understand the busy office days, the need for small meeting rooms or the distribution of catering costs? First select the question and then period, location and area. Compare similar periods and take holidays and special events into account.
Distinguish between reservation and activity
A booking shows a plan. It does not document that a person used the space or participated in the meeting. Sensors can supplement with recorded activity when installed and properly set up. It must be clearly stated which data basis a report uses.
See the variation before you change offices
An average can hide both crowded Tuesdays and quiet Fridays. Therefore, look at days of the week, times and areas. Also examine the size of the premises and the employees' experience of the equipment, tranquility and location before you change the capacity.
Make insights actionable
MyDesk Analytics can support an overview of desks, meeting rooms and catering depending on the modules. AI can help ask questions of data, but answers must be evaluated against the report's snippets and definitions. Exports and special reports can be included in the further analysis.
Clarify access and storage
Agree who should be able to see personally identifiable information and how anonymization is used. Use reports to understand the needs of the office with the agreed purpose, and do not evaluate the efforts of a single employee based on office attendance alone.
