Select measurement as needed
Presence, number of people, temperature and CO₂ are different types of data. Not all sensors measure everything. Clarify the concrete model, location and integration before building reports or automatic actions on the measurements.
Coordinate plan and use
A sensor can help investigate whether booked rooms or seats are being used. See measurement interval and coverage area as part of the result. Releasing an unused reservation requires agreed rules and a suitable data base.
Allow for breaks
A room can be empty during a break without the meeting ending. Clarify time limits and meeting flow so automatic rules don't inadvertently release active meetings. Test both no-shows, early termination and breaks in your setup.
Agreement on operation and use
Sensors are an option. Describe installation, network, battery and support for the selected hardware, and inform employees about purpose and data. Use environmental measurements as a signal to examine conditions; they do not replace an overall assessment of the working environment.
