Nordic software for retail

Fiftytwo is a Nordic software company that develops point-of-sale and store systems for retailers. Its solutions include traditional checkouts, self-checkout and mobile POS, used by retail businesses across the Nordic region and internationally.

The company is part of Bording Group and has its Danish office in Glostrup. For its own visitor reception, Fiftytwo has chosen MyDesk Visitor Registration together with digital E-Ink visitor badges.

From arrival at the check-in screen to a digital visitor badge

At Fiftytwo, MyDesk runs on a visitor check-in screen where visitors can register their arrival. The screen is where visitors encounter the digital part of the reception process.

The check-in screen and visitor badges form part of the same solution. Visit registration connects with the handling of the digital badge, bringing both elements into the visitor reception process.

Black visitor badges with Fiftytwo’s white logo

Fiftytwo’s visual identity carries through the solution. The check-in screen features the company’s own images and logo, and Fiftytwo has selected black visitor badges with a white logo.

This choice covers both the on-screen welcome and the physical badge used during the visit. These are specific adaptations of MyDesk’s visitor registration and visitor badges to the company’s visual identity.

E-Ink visitor badges that can be reused

MyDesk digital visitor badges display visitor information on an E-Ink screen. In MyDesk, badge information can be updated during check-in, and the same badge can subsequently be used for a new visitor.

Reusability is a product feature: the physical badge can be used for multiple visits while the information on its display changes. Together with visitor registration, the badge connects the digital registration with a visible visitor badge.

Setup based on the company’s design

During onboarding, Fiftytwo’s own images and logo provided the basis for the check-in screen’s appearance. At the same time, the preference for black visitor badges with a white logo was established, allowing both the screen and badges to be included in the setup.

The process therefore covered visitor registration, the check-in screen’s design and the digital E-Ink visitor badges.
