With the current reopening, companies must decide whether to go back to the old pre-COVID patterns or use the lessons learned from the last year and a half to restructure the work environment. In a new survey<\/a> by tech developer Owl Labs<\/a>, 2000 business leaders from the UK, Germany, France, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark were asked about their approach to post-pandemic workplace management. There is a clear intention to make the work environment safer and more attractive for the employee by implementing the hybrid model.<\/h2>\n


\nAt MyDesk, we have previously expressed our enthusiasm for the idea of implementing hybrid working<\/a>, which more and more companies are embracing. This growing trend is clearly demonstrated in the survey, with 89% of companies planning a permanent hybrid working model as a result of lessons learned during the pandemic. The model combines home and office work, which can be planned according to the company’s internal structure and the employees’ preferences. Of the Danish companies surveyed, 92% will use hybrid labor in the future. 62% of the total number of managers believe that hybrid working makes their company more profitable. Of these, it is especially managers of larger companies (1000+ employees) who agree with this belief with 73%. <\/p>\n

Planning workdays<\/h3>\n


\nIft. planning a specific number of days per week that employees are in the office, the Danish companies ranked highest among the Nordic companies surveyed with 73% support. This approach is the case at Sundhed.dk<\/a>, which, as we recently reported<\/a>, has chosen MyDesk for the reopening of the workplace. In a work week, employees come into the office two days, work from home<\/span> two days, and on the fifth day they choose where they want to work. Implementing remote or hybrid models generally has a positive impact on the work environment<\/a> and employee well-being, which is the case at Sundhed.dk, where employees are happy and satisfied with the new work distribution that prioritizes both social life in the office and more individual-focused work from home<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Same work regardless of location<\/h3>\n

92% of organizations will test new and more progressive future work policies, which includes a 4-day workweek and work from anywhere<\/span>. Today, many tasks can be performed regardless of location, as long as the systems are accessible. In the future, companies will need to provide employees with the technology they need to do their jobs wherever they are. According to the survey, work policy and infrastructure planning will be a high priority going forward for 93% of organizations. This includes investing in technology and communication tools, continuing social distancing initiatives in the office, and providing the necessary equipment to enable the person to do the same work at home as in the office.<\/p>\n

Optimize facilities as needed<\/h3>\n
