This will take you to MyDesk administration, where you can start creating and managing other resources.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 2: Go to administration<\/h2>\n<p>Once you are logged in, find the administration area. Here you will see an item called &#8220;Administration&#8221;. Click on this item.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mydesk.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/e7bbcc45-c712-4b43-bae9-12bd62223420.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"object-fit: cover; width: 501px;\" src=\"https:\/\/mydesk.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/e7bbcc45-c712-4b43-bae9-12bd62223420.png\" alt=\"Administration in MyDesk\" width=\"1070\" height=\"337\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Step 3: Create resource types<\/h2>\n<p>In the administration area you will find a section for resource types. These are the categories that your resources will fall under. You will see existing types like &#8220;Bike&#8221; and &#8220;Cars&#8221;. To create your own resource types, click &#8220;+Ressourctype&#8221;.   <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mydesk.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/7e5e1f05-e1f5-4de8-bcef-5a40a68a8077.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"object-fit: cover; width: 501px;\" src=\"https:\/\/mydesk.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/7e5e1f05-e1f5-4de8-bcef-5a40a68a8077.png\" alt=\"Resource types\" width=\"1070\" height=\"337\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Step 4: Upload icon and enter details<\/h2>\n<p>When you create a new resource type, you can upload an icon, enter a name and choose whether it should be active. You can also choose to allow &#8220;booking by the hour&#8221; instead of all-day booking. Click &#8220;+ Resource&#8221; to start this process. Database resources only live in MyDesk. For example, if the resource is a car, you can select &#8220;Copenhagen&#8221; as the location.
