Why can’t I open the MyDesk add-in in Outlook, and what should I do?

If you receive the error message ‘You need a new app to open this about link’, it is due to a policy within your organization. Your IT department must replace your current add-in with ‘https://outlookaddin.mydesk.io/manifest.prod.legacy.xml’. This should work within 6 hours or after clearing the Outlook cache.
